In June 2015 more than 50 alumni of all IJP programs took part in a three days conference in Tel Aviv. In 1965 Germany and Israel started diplomatic relations. Noah Klieger, 88 made clear how difficult the beginning was: „ As a Jew and a survivor of Auschwitz of course I was against it“.
Now 50 years later, Berlin is one of the most attractive destinations for young Israelis. Scientists, correspondents and politicians like the youngest member of the Knesset , Stav Shaffir, gave their perspectives of the past and the future of Israel.
The conference was organized in cooperation with the Herbert Quandt Foundation and supported by the Foreign ministry of Germany.
