Alumni Energy Study Tour November 2016

During October, November and December 2016 IJP, in cooperation with Clean Energy Wire, offered a 4-day study trip to Germany for foreign alumni only. This option applied to the alumni of the Southern African Bursary, the Turkey Fellowship, the Latin-American Program as well as the Program for Asia and the Arthur F. Burns Program for the United States. The fellows from Asia (Bhutan, China, Indonesia, Mongolia, The Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and India) came to Berlin by the end of November and enjoyed intensive workshops of energy related issues, as well as the reunion in Berlin with colleagues they haven’t seen for many years.

Therefore the study tour served two means: more understanding of the energy transition policy of the Federal Government as well as a revival of the alumni network.
